After-school Activities

On Mondays and Thursday students can select froma range of after-school activities, including sports, arts and study hall!

activities_mikanField work:

Each class undertakes regular field work as a part of their ongoing studies. Locations and themes are dependent on the curriculum, and have recently included visits to a rice harvesting festival, to a potters studio, to a science museum and to the zoo.

Residential Field work:

Older grades (usually from grade 4 up) are taken on extended trips, including a home stay visit to a Japanese community and an overnight trip in the summer. Grades 7 and above regularly visit and host other international schools from around Japan for sporting activities.

Sports Teams:

After school training takes place for sports teams, who play matches and tournaments against other schools in Japan. Sports on offer include basketball, volleyball, and soccer.
