G3/4 students worked on past tense verbs and as a supplementary activity, they did a pair work where they had to read a story and fill in the gaps with past tense verbs together. While doing this, they sometimes chose different words but realized that both of the verbs worked just fine in the sentence. This led to their learning of some synonyms. We explored how we could express ’saying’ and ‘going from one place to another’.
Here are some photos of them showing different ways of ‘going’. Can you tell how they are going?

The contrast in tonality and modulations are brilliantly handled! Lyric writiers took notes on keywords, phrases from their investigations, lines of inquiry and not only did they compose a good rhyming poem but paid attention to the melodic contour and rhythm so that the syllables would match the melody. Lyric writers also responded to the change of tonality(Major to minor) in the melody and painted the texts effectively! That’s a device called word painting!! We all look forward to the world premiere of their original composition on the Exhibition Evening, Thursday, 14th May.

Original post blogged on b2evolution.
