Hiroshima International School offers a broad educational program, with opportunities for a range of school activities, including:

Field Trips:

Each class goes on regular field trips as a part of their ongoing studies. Trips are dependent on the curriculum, and have recently included visits to a rice harvesting festival, to a potters studio, to a science museum and to the zoo.

Overnight Field Trips:

Older grades (usually from grade 4 up) are taken on extended trips, including a home stay visit to a Japanese community and an overnight trip in the summer. Grades 7 and above regularly visit and host other international schools from around Japan for sporting activities.

Sports Teams:

After school training takes place for sports teams, who play matches and tournaments against other schools in Japan. Sports on offer include basketball, volleyball, and soccer.
