What are your fondest memories of your time at HIS?

I remember the day I joined HIS in 1984..I remember the classroom, playground infront of the building.. HIS grew as the nearby parking lot was taken and a makeshift building made..

The teachers were splendid.. Learning Japanese was so fun..The public bus journery from school to Ujina was enjoyable.. As we shifted to the larger campus in Kurakake, we got the real school campus of our dreams.. Learning everything from English Literature, Maths, Science, Music to Soccer & Basketball was really awesome journey.. I was a part of Japanese Drum team and Basketball team..Thanks to the science classes, I was really motivated to pursue science as a mainstream subject later on.. We use to go on excursions in the nearby hill range. I cannot forget the Walkathon competetion we use to have where we went downhill to the railway tracks and return uphill to the school.. All the teachers were so helping and motivating in nature.. Mr Mudge, Mr David Miller, Mrs Kathy Miller, Mr John, our Japanese teacher.. Mr Yamamoto who was our bus driver and campus caretaker is with whom I shared a bond with.. He really took care of me.. I cannot forget cooking Pizza and selling them during recess when each one of us was assigned kitchen duties..I had good time when we went to Kobe for our basketball match.. Our trips to Iwakuni, Miyajima, and Mazda car plant is also in my memories.. The five years I spent was a memorable one and I cherish the time I spent with my friends, teachers and school staff..

What impact has your time at HIS had on your life?

To summarize, HIS gave me Confidence, Determination, Humility, and helped me build a personality.. I learned to mingle with students from diverse backgrounds..teachers motivated me to learn and perform better in every feild.. Thanks to HIS for providing me with a base because of which I am today…
