Hiroshima International School offers a broad and balanced curriculum for students aged 3-18. Using educational programmes designed specifically to meet the needs of children in international schools through the International Baccalaureate programs, HIS offers a concept based, inquiry-driven curriculum that incorporates best teaching practices based on current research in language learning, differentiated instruction and visible thinking. Our curriculum provides for the development of the whole child through an integrated, inquiry-based approach to learning. It recognizes children’s social, physical, emotional, and cultural needs as well as their need to be challenged academically.
