Principal’s Message

Dear HIS Community

Firstly, I would like to thank everyone involved in the Bonfire Night last Friday. I am still full from all that delicious food. It is a great chance for our school community to come together to get to know each other better and it was also a really good way to welcome some of our new families into the community.

Thank you to our KG/Gr1 class for the wonderful assembly today. You will see some images in next week’s Crane. I like this one, below, which gives you an idea of how daunting it can be for a child, or anyone for that matter, to face an audience. The KG/Gr1 class all faced this uncertainty with courage and forethought and in this sense, were great risk-takers.  I loved those different homes that all reflected cultural influences and local conditions. Well done!

Enjoy the weekend.

Regards

Damian Rentoule (Principal)

Guardian Election to the Board of Trustees

Thank you very much to Chris Clark who has just joined the Board of Trustees in the Guardian category. We are really glad to have you on the team. We really appreciate the selfless work all of our Board of Trustees members do on a voluntary basis, giving up their time and energy to support HIS. We had one nomination for the two spaces open, so we still have a position open. If anyone is interested in contributing to HIS in this way, please let me know. For more information regarding the Board of Trustees, please click here.
