Principal's Message Dear HIS Community Thank you to all parents who participated in the PTA meeting on Friday morning. There has been some wonderful work by the PTA this year and we really appreciate your support of the school community. We had a very successful soccer training session after school this week. Two coaches from SRC Hiroshima Academy soccer club ran a trial practice for us and we had 30 students sign up. It was a great afternoon with students from across Primary and Secondary participating. The PYP Exhibition is the culminating inquiry project for the Primary Years Program and the students have been using all of their skills to pursue an independent inquiry on a topic of interest. We are in the middle of our Sports Day at the moment. This is the first time in three years that we have been able to hold the Sports Day due to COVID restrictions so we are very happy to be here running, jumping, throwing and all those other wonderful sporting events. Yesterday, our Grade 6 class travelled to Miyoshi to find out a little bit more about our local histories as part of an interdisciplinary unit inquiring into Japanese and Individuals & Societies. It sounds like they had a great trip.
